You're the Best!

Wow!  Whoever receives this card from me must be the best because I put a LOT of work into this card!  It's not that it was difficult to make, it just has a LOT more layers than I usually do, thanks to this sketch from Mojo Monday:

Do you see all of those layers?!  It probably would have been easier if I had used ONE more color, but I found this color combination on my Color Coach and I really wanted to use it without altering it.

I haven't used my Paper Doily Sizzlit very much because it gave me nothing but fits when I first tried it.  I saw a tip somewhere to put packing tape over the die for better results.  I did that, but I still can't get a good cut with cardstock.  It does work better with DSP now though, so I started with that.  The doily from the Perfect Pennants Bigz die fits nicely inside, don't you think?  My favorite part of the card is the little flowers that I made.  I cut off one petal from the new 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch and pulled the petals together and glued them together.  This made them a little cone-shaped to give them some dimension.  For the inside, I cut thin strips of cardstock and wrapped them around a needle to get them spiral-shaped.  I filled the inside of the flower with Crystal Effects and pushed the spirals down into it.  If you have never tried this adhesive, it is AMAZINGLY strong!  Those flowers aren't going anywhere, that is for sure!
